EinfachAI vs. KI-Agentur.com: Agency Model or Senior Developer?

A factual comparison of KI-Agentur.com as a mid-market agency with four service pillars versus EinfachAI as implementation by a senior developer with an e-commerce focus.

Summary

Summary: KI-Agentur.com targets the German mid-market and bundles four service pillars from chatbots to generative AI. EinfachAI is the work of a single senior developer with an e-commerce focus. The difference is in the cut: a broad agency portfolio for typical AI rollouts versus deep development work on grown infrastructure.

Verifiability note: KI-Agentur.com states things such as "100% GDPR-compliant" and "fast implementation" on its own site. These are self-reported and treated as such here. Conversely, this article deliberately contains no customer results from EinfachAI: numbers I cannot evidence are not a valid comparison argument.

What KI-Agentur.com does

According to its own presentation, KI-Agentur.com addresses the mid-market and promises tailored AI agents and generative AI solutions that integrate into existing processes. The offering is split into four pillars: generative AI for content creation and personalised communication, AI agents for workflow automation and system integration, AI consulting from potential analysis through to training, and AI chatbots for customer service and sales.

The workflow is described as a four-step process beginning with analysis and use-case identification and ending with integration, API connection and testing. Notable is the emphasis on data protection and legal aspects — several pieces of content on the site deal with GDPR obligations and the use of AI tools in German companies.

What EinfachAI is

EinfachAI is a one-person operation: a software developer with 15 years of experience in complex IT architectures, around ten years in e-commerce, eight of them with Shopware. I have worked with agentic AI since 2023 — and deliberately with clearly defined workflows rather than all-powerful agents.

The focus is on two things. First, connecting isolated legacy systems or supplier data sources via autonomous browser and desktop agents where conventional interfaces are missing, locked, or uneconomical. Second, specialised internal assistants for routine work such as extracting invoice and product data from unstructured PDFs straight into your system. Alongside that, the Digital Product Passport as the link between a regulatory topic and Shopware integration.

When KI-Agentur.com is the better choice

  • You want a classic AI entry point. A chatbot for customer service, an assistant for internal questions, knowledge search over your own data — established approaches exist for all of these.
  • Content creation is part of the brief. If generative tools are to be introduced for marketing and communication, a portfolio with its own pillar covers that more broadly.
  • You want formal, documented processes. Analysis, prioritisation, implementation, testing in defined steps with interim results.
  • Training and consulting are included. The scope explicitly contains consulting.

When EinfachAI is the better choice

  • Your bottleneck is the system connection, not the use case. When it is clear what should be automated but the systems cannot support it, development work is what decides the outcome.
  • You work with Shopware, ERP, PIM or inventory systems. Eight years of Shopware practice means the infrastructure does not have to be understood from scratch.
  • Your data is unstructured. PDF extraction with validation is development work, not a standard integration case.
  • You want to talk to the person doing the work. No layer in between, from the first conversation to handover.

What this means for the DACH mid-market

For many mid-sized businesses the first step is a visible use case: a chatbot that pre-qualifies enquiries, or an assistant that makes company knowledge findable. An agency model with a clear process is the right choice for that.

The second step comes later and is less comfortable: the systems behind it have to work together. If enquiries are to be answered reliably, they have to flow correctly out of ERP, PIM and Shopware. That is where development work on grown infrastructure is needed — and where I work.

To gauge which phase your project is in, a first call helps. What automation looks like concretely in the Shopware context is described under AI automation for e-commerce.

Frequently asked questions

Is KI-Agentur.com a direct competitor?

Partly. There is overlap on AI agents and automation. The cut is different: a broad portfolio with consulting and content there, development work on existing infrastructure here.

Do I need an agency or a single developer?

It depends on the bottleneck. If it is a use case that has not been defined yet, a consulting and delivery portfolio helps. If it is a system that cannot be connected, development work helps.

Does EinfachAI work GDPR-compliantly?

Processing happens in your environment; personal data does not leave your system unnecessarily. Binding statements always require looking at the specific processing operation.

Can AI automation be added to an existing solution later?

Yes. If an assistant is already running but the data foundation is missing, the connection can be built separately instead of replacing the solution.
